Novy, Iowa's First Startup Venture Studio Launches
The Gazette: Three experienced Iowa startup leaders have launched Novy, the first venture studio in Iowa.
Novy will co-found, fund and grow software companies starting in the health care industry. Each company will receive up to $1 million in direct capital investment, two full-time executive leaders, in-house product development support, and a full suite of back office services, including finance and human resources, for a total investment of more than $2 million.
Casey's General Stores enters Texas with Purchase of 22 Stores
🏪 Casey's General Stores, the nation's third-largest convenience store chain, has entered its 17th state by purchasing 22 convenience stores in Texas. W. Douglass Distributing sold the Lone Star Food Stores to Casey's.
📈Casey's CEO, Darren Rebelez, said in June that Casey's will add 350 stores through acquisition and construction over the next three years.
Hy-Vee Partners w/ Takeoff Technologies on Digital Shopping Efficiencies
🛒To meet growing customer demand for online shopping, Hy-Vee Inc. has partnered with Takeoff Technologies, an e-grocery technology company, to employ micro fulfillment centers in select metro locations.
⏱️The technology will complement Hy-Vee’s Aisles Online grocery ordering system by making the process more efficient for those employees shopping orders.
